The PSI 6003 and PSI 5007 are designed with different laboratory workflows in mind. The 6003 is a micro osmometer using a 30 μL sample, while the 5007 is a multi-sample osmometer using 0.25 mL, with 2 mL optional. The better choice depends on sample volume and required functions.

The 6003 uses a 30 μL sample and has a 0–2000 mOsm linear range. Measurement takes approximately 90 seconds. The instrument provides touch-screen operation, solid-state cooling, printing and three-point calibration.

The 5007 has a 0.25 mL sample capacity, with 2 mL optional, and an approximately one-minute testing time.
Its published features include a built-in printer, reusable glass sample tubes, multiple calibration methods and RS-232 connectivity.
